| The Healing Hotsprings of Budapest |
Having trouble adjusting to the time since arriving.....have not been able to fall asleep until early morning. Still have some unresolved pain from my injury as well that i mainly feel at night....and irritated with that as i do not like to be held back from life. I want to get going with my training as i feel that time is running out to try to get strong and to compete this season to get on the Canadian team again.
Went to an epee world cup yesterday...one of the first world cups of the year which i would normally be competing at. Being around fencing again made my heart race. Even though it has been so long since i have heard blades clashing and victory cries...it felt like yesterday. I feel very at home around my sport....and the excitement in me to fence right now reminds me of how i felt about fencing at fourteen when I first took up the sport as a Modern Pentathlete.(swimming, fencing, running, shooting and equestrian jumping).
After the World Cup, decided to hit the hot springs. The hot springs in Budapest are different from the onsens of Japan. Japanese hot springs give you silky skin and the water is scorching hot....the hot springs here are a little more diluted and are from cold to very warm. Most baths here have thermal swimming pools as well which i love! I can easily spend about three hours a day swimming in the Budapest hot springs.
